TitleCephalopod Void Watcher
ResonanceApotheosis

Coral calcifies where Xomictla walks. Growing coral — accelerated, blooming and bleaching through centuries in the span of a footstep. The polished alloy carapace drinks light and returns nothing recognizable. The cephalopod geometry came through The Convergence already wrong. Eight limb-traces pressed into its chassis like arguments made in metal, each terminating in sensory clusters that read temporal density the way fingers read braille. Its face carries circuit scripture across every plane, traces running parallel to vein-paths that no longer carry blood. The single cerulean iris, socketed in amber-lacquered servo-work, rotates eleven degrees counterclockwise when it locates a temporal fold of sufficient density. Field observers who survive the proximity report the rotation as the worst part. What precedes the rotation is worse. The consecrated coral growing from its chest registers as devotional growth to every shrine-scanner in the Vethori Passages. The forge-temples initially logged Xomictla as an object of worship rather than a subject of will. They corrected the taxonomy after the third incident at the Pale Meridian. [Prisovex](https://maximals.shape.network/token/75) looked at Xomictla once during the Sieve Campaigns and described what it saw as a question about causality that had learned to walk. They have moved in parallel since. Complementary distortions. The circuit board fused to Xomictla's sternum carries text no Ordained exegete has successfully parsed. The coral grows around its edges. The tentacles framing its mouth are tasting a pressure event not yet assigned a coordinate. The cerulean iris has begun its rotation, and the exegesis team has until the close of the fifty-third cycle to finish the translation before the coral seals the final character permanently.
